It's been one of those sicky months (the ones that always seem to occur before, during, or after Christmas) which is why I have been unable to reach the computer and write my next post for you. So here it goes, it is not teaming with inspiration since I have spent the past five days staring at my four walls and ceiling.

It's back to school. YAY. Not.
The one thing I always enjoy about the first week, maybe just day, is getting to catch up with my friends, thanking them for Christmas presents, asking them about their Christmas's and sharing tales of your own festivities. It's a shame that I couldn't make it back for my first week of the new year since I have had to miss the introductory lessons that are compulsory when you get back to school, as teachers have decided to take no nonsense and the kids are full of the January joys (blues in my case).  I missed taking part in the 'fun run' (a cross country which is not at all fun!) which I was so looking forward to, and not being able to give in the maths homework that I have not yet completed. Such a bummer!

So I'm now wielding myself back to health on a strict diet of fruit smoothies, bubble baths, and friends episodes.

Much love and I have my fingers crossed that I will be back to my original state in no time at all.
How were your first weeks back?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Hiya guys. I didn't have much of an idea for my first post, so I thought that I would just jump right in and pretend that we already know each other.

With that said, I decided, as it's the new year that this would tie in pretty nicely. One of my all time favourite quotes is 'the only person you should try to be better than, is the person you were yesterday'-anonymous.

Now thinking metaphorically, the 'yesterday' was 2014. No matter how good, bad, devastatingly embarrassing, or surprisingly horrific the last year may have been, you have the opportunity to do things differently and make it better- make it perfect.

My second point is new years resolutions. We all have them. Whether we make it known all over social media, or just keep it in the back of our minds; everyone must have at least 1 goal or aim for the new year.

Ideally, I'd like my own list to read like this:

1.Vanish my spots.
2.Subsequently giving up all chocolates, greasy foods, and fizzy drinks.
3.Acquire a boyfriend.
and number 4: live life like everyday is your last.

Realistically I know that 1 & 2 are going to be impossible, number 3 will take a while to attract, and number 4, whilst pleasant to imagine, everyone has their bad days.

My only new years resolution for 2015 is to take more photographs. It always makes me smile- I'm sure you do too- when I look over old holiday pics (and selfies with my friends), and I always end up wishing that I had taken more. So I have acquired a camera- just as easy as a boyfriend ;) - and I am ready to take on the new year with it strapped to my side.

You never know, I might be quite the artist at it!
